According to Nze Chuma, “Amaka Igwe was instrumental to the success of Nollywood brand that we are feeding on. From the fillers I have gotten so far, film makers from the Igbo extraction are complying with the directive, especially those of them who are based in Port Harcourt, Enugu and Asaba.”

In the same vein, Governor Sullivan Chime of Enugu State, yesterday, expressed shock at the sudden demise of one Nigeria’s best known film producers and directors.

The Governor, in a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary Chukwudi Achife, described the late Mrs Igwe as an icon and pacesetter in the Nigerian movie industry whose pioneering works had inspired many and brought glory to the nation.
