UEFA Champions League: Musa Eyes Roma Victory

UEFA Champions League: Musa eyes Roma victory
Ahmed Musa

Ahmed Musa has his sights set on a good start in the UEFA Champions League as his Russian club CSKA Moscow face Italian side Roma in Rome on Wednesday, africanfootball.com reports.

However, the Super Eagles forward admitted it would be a very tough game for the Russian army club, but still believes they could get a favourable result against Roma.

“I always want to win. I am looking forward to a good game as a player and collectively for my team CSKA against Roma in Italy,” Musa said.

“It is not going to be an easy match we all know and we have prepared for a very tough match.

“Getting a win or draw will be a good way to start for us in the competition.”

Roma are making a return to the UEFA Champions League for the first time in three years.

Russian champions CSKA Moscow beat Arsenal Tule 2-1 at the weekend in the league and are now placed fourth on the league table, while Roma won this weekend 1-0 over Empoli to be in second spot on the table.

Roma will miss the service of Daniele De Rossi, who is serving a one-match ban, while CSKA Moscow will be without the duo of Alan Dzagoev and Pontus Wernbloom due to bans.
