Regardless of the ongoing economic recession in Nigeria, the country is believed to be an amazing potential market in Africa for sanitary wares and finishing products.

Sanitary ware manufacturers see potential in Nigerian market

Making the submission last week in Lagos at a two-day seminar for professionals and stakeholders in the nation’s building and construction industry on new sanitary wares and finishing products organised by QMB Builders’ Mart, a building solutions provider, Mr. Jaime Quintana, Export Manager of Ceramics Gala S.A, an Italian company that manufactures sanitary products, said I am sure it is going to be the leading market in Africa absolutely.

“First of all, we are coming to do the export to create the brand awareness and we want to grow with the market in Nigeria. Gala has a good distribution network in Northern Africa such as Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria. Before the problem in Libya, we had a very good market there and in the sub-Saharan market. Nigeria is the main market. The company also has presence in South Africa, Tanzania, Kenya, with small business in Benin Republic, Congo. The African continent is the main target for the coming years.

Infact, we have actually been working in Nigeria for some years now and we have been trying to satisfy every segment of the market in collaboration with our partner, QMB Builders’ Mart, which takes care of distribution. We believe in quality, and we try as much as possible to ensure that only quality products are brought into the country.

“It is not easy to find companies with the highest quality, but in this case, Gala is controlling 100 per cent of the pieces, inspecting them one by one before delivery. Our products are of the highest standards. We offer products from the economic segment, middle segment and the highest segment and we try to satisfy every market”, Quintana noted.

He said they guarantee the long-life of the products with five years warranty because they are sure of what they offer and that they have been working on this for many years in Nigeria with QMB Builders’ Mart, their partner in the market that takes care of distribution.
